Abstract:

A shift resister used in a display-driving circuit that conducts simultaneous selection of multiple signal lines, comprises, for each of the steps, a flip-flop (FF) that includes an initialization terminal (INITB); and a signal generating circuit to which a simultaneous-selection signal (AONB) is inputted, and which generates an output signal (OUTB) for its own step, using the outputs (Q, QB) of the above-mentioned flip-flop. The output signal (OUTB) of each of the steps is activated while the simultaneous selection is being conducted, due to being activated by the activation of the simultaneous-selecting signal (AONB); the output signals (Q, QB) of the flip-flop (FF) are inactivated while the initialization terminal (INITB), a setting terminal (SB), and a resetting terminal (R) of the flip-flop are active; and the simultaneous-selection signal (AONB) is inputted into the initialization terminal (INITB) of the flip-flop. In such a way, a shift register wherein various drivers can be made to be compact is achieved.
