Abstract:
A shifting device capable of generating a load for reliably shifting gears using a simple configuration is obtained. For the shifting device (2), in a slide position before the point at which the teeth (17a - 19a) of a reverse idler gear (19) and a reverse input gear (18) (reverse output gear (17)) begin to mesh, the direction of load application of a spring (35) switches to a direction (reverse side) that causes the reverse idler gear (19) to mesh with the reverse input gear (18) (reverse output gear (17)).
