Abstract:
The present invention relates to a ship azimuth thruster without wings exposed to the outside, the azimuth thruster comprising: a duct body of which an airfoil-shaped hollow cross section is formed to extend in a ring shape; and a water conduit provided at the outer side of the duct body so as to communicate with an inner space of the duct body, wherein water flows in from the outer peripheral surface of the water conduit so as to pass through the inner space of the duct body, thereby being sprayed through the inner peripheral surface of the duct body such that propelling power is generated, and thus propellers exposed to the outside are eliminated such that injury and death accidents of marine animals can be prevented in advance from happening, and nets or marine debris can be prevented, in advance, from being caught by the propellers and disrupting the driving of a ship.
