Abstract:
Plate-like auxiliary steering force generating members 21, 31 having a tilt angle α in a range of 45-90° with respect to a horizontal plane are arranged, via a holding member 22, 32 joined to a lower end part 13 or an upper end part 14 of the ship rudder 10 in the vertical direction of the ship rudder 10, away from a rudder center plane Cd but on both sides of the rudder center plane Cd and disposed on the opposite side from the rudder surfaces 10a, 10b in the vertical direction in a manner facing each other. Consequently, a ship rudder and ship capable of increasing a lateral force to be generated when the rudder is steered can be provided using a relatively simple construction.
