Abstract:
Provided is a ship comprising a hull (2) having an engine room (3) inside, a main engine (4) that is provided inside the engine room (3) and is driven by fuel having a greater specific gravity than air when vaporized, a floor (18) that is provided to the engine room (3), an exhaust duct (8) having an exhaust inlet (9) that is open towards the floor (18) and an exhaust outlet (10) that is open outside of the hull (2), and an exhaust fan (24) that is provided inside the exhaust duct (8) and suctions gas via the exhaust inlet (9) such that the upper surface of the floor (18) attains negative pressure.
