Abstract:

A ship 1 for transporting liquefied gas in a liquefied gas tank 20, the ship 1 having only one liquefied gas tank 20 with a length T of 40-75% of the total length Ls of the ship with respect to the ship length direction and being configured so as to be provided with at least one backup buoyancy section among a backup buoyancy section of 10-25% of the total length Ls of the ship to the front of the liquefied gas tank 20 and a backup buoyancy section of 15-35% of the total length Ls of the ship to the rear of the liquefied gas tank 20. This configuration allows damage stability to be ensured even for a ship with a one liquefied gas tank configuration and simplifies ballast operation during cargo handling.
