The present invention makes it possible to keep costs down and stably manage actual movement location information for shipping items that are moved and installed at prescribed locations in an off-site storage facility having strict storage conditions. This shipping-item location management system installs and manages a coil (5a) (shipping item) at an off-site storage facility along with shipment. A forklift (7) (movement device) is provided to move and install the coil (5a) to the off-site storage facility. The installation location of the coil (5a) is set by using the location information of the forklift (7) acquired via GNSS by a coordinate information receptions terminal (24) provided to the forklift (7). A terminal-side arithmetic device (20) is provided to transmit the set installation location to an off-site movement location management server (30).
