Abstract:

[Solution] A shock absorber (1) is configured entirely by bending and forming a single metal sheet. The shock absorber (1) comprises: a fixed plate (10); a shock-absorbing section (11) provided with two first sidewall plates (111a, 111b), and two second sidewall plates (112a, 112b); two flange plates (12a, 12b); and two bridging plates (13a, 13b). The shock-absorbing section (11): is provided with a joint section (150) in which the two first sidewall plates (111a, 111b), and both edges of the two second sidewall plates (112a, 112b), which are correspondingly in neighboring contact with both edges of the two first sidewall plates (111a, 111b), are superimposed so as to be joined; and is configured in a substantially square tubular shape as a whole. The edges of the two flange plates (12a, 12b) and the two bridging plates (13a, 13b) are superimposed so as to be joined.
