Abstract:
A shock absorber (A) comprises: a cylinder member (1) in the interior of which an action chamber (L) is formed; an annular rod guide (2) that is fixed in an opening on one end of the cylinder member (1); a rod (4) that is inserted so as to be movable in the axial direction on the inner side of the rod guide (2); an oil seal (10) that is attached on the action chamber (L) side of the rod guide (2) and that seals the outer circumference of the rod (4); and a seal member (11) that is laminated on the side opposite the action chamber of the rod guide (2). The seal member (11) comprises: a dust seal (7) that seals the outer circumference of the rod (4); and an outer circumference seal (8) that seals a space between the cylinder member (1) and the rod guide (2).
