Abstract:
This shock absorber is provided with: a first passage 101 through which a work fluid, driven by a piston 18, flows out of a chamber 19; a second passage 181 which is provided in parallel with the first passage 101; a damping force generating mechanism 41 which is provided in the first passage 101 and which generates a damping force; a cylindrical case member 140 inside of which at least part of the second passage 181 is formed; an annular disk 134 which, inside of the case member 140, is supported on the outer periphery side or the inner periphery side and in which an annular seal member 156 is provided on the non-supported side to form a seal with the case member 140; and two chambers 171, 172 inside of the case member 140 provided separated by the disc 134, wherein the disc 134 blocks the flow in the second passage 181.
