Abstract:
A shock absorber (1) comprising: a sub-assembly having a cylinder member (S), a rod (7) that enters and leaves the cylinder member (S), and a cap (42) attached to the tip of the rod (7) protruding outside the cylinder member (S); and an outer tube (40) having the cylinder member (S) slidably inserted therein. A small inner diameter section (40a) having a smaller inner diameter than the outer diameter of a sliding section of the cylinder member (S) is formed in an end section on one side of the outer tube (40) and the cap (42) is attached to the inner circumference of the small inner diameter section (40a).
