Abstract:
A shock absorber (D) is provided with: a tubular case part (5) disposed at an end of a cylinder (1); and a ring member (6) that is attached to a piston rod (3) and that has elasticity so as to be capable of being inserted into the case part (5). In a state in which the ring member (6) is not subjected to an external force, a throttle passage (61) that communicates between the inside and outside of the case part 5 in an annular gap formed between the ring member (6) and the case part (5) is formed, and a back pressure chamber (P) that communicates with the inner side of the case part (5) is formed at the inner circumference of the ring member (6).
