Abstract:
This shock absorber is provided with a collar (4) mounted on the outer circumference of a cylinder to support one end of a suspension spring, wherein the cylinder is capable of moving in the axial direction with respect to an inner tube in which a liquid is stored, and the collar (4) has: an annular mounting part (5), one end of which is supported by the cylinder; an annular sliding-contact part (7) which is provided closer to the suspension spring than the mounting part (5) and is in sliding contact with the inner circumference of the inner tube; a truncated cone-shaped body part (6) which connects the mounting part (5) and the sliding-contact part (7) and in which is formed a hole (9) that imparts resistance to the flow of a liquid moving along the inner circumference of the collar (4); and a rib (8) formed along the axial direction on the inner circumference of the body part (6).
