Abstract:
A valve chamber provided to a shock absorber according to a first embodiment has an inner peripheral surface extending in the direction in which a damping valve moves, the inner peripheral surface being provided with a plurality of discharge ports that communicate with a discharge channel, and the discharge ports being positioned in a plurality of positions that have point symmetry with respect to the center of the inner peripheral surface. Any pressure difference between certain regions in the valve chamber can thereby be minimized, and as a result, self-excited vibration of the damping valve can be minimized.
