Abstract:
This shock absorber has: a first damping force generation mechanism (41, 42) provided to a passage (72, 92) of a piston (21); and a second damping force generation mechanism (173, 183) provided to a piston rod (25). The second damping force generation mechanism (173, 183) is provided with a valve seat member (109), a sub-valve (107, 110) provided to the valve seat member (109), and a cap member (305) that covers at least a portion of the outer circumference of the valve seat member (109) and one end side of the second damping force generation mechanism (173). A communication passage (148, 302) is formed on one end side of the cap member (305). The shock absorber has disposed therein: a biasing member (116, 117) provided so that one end surface side thereof abuts against the cap member (305) at a location on the outer circumferential side of the communication passage (148, 302); and a bendable flexible disk (100) provided so as to be abutted against the other end side of the biasing member (116, 117).
