Abstract:
This shock absorber (10) is disposed between a vehicle body and an axle. The shock absorber (10) comprises a cylinder (17) having a bottomed cylindrical shape, a spring seat (20), and a release rib (25). The spring seat (20) is integrally formed with the cylinder 17. The spring seat (20) projects from the cylinder (17) in the radial direction of the cylinder (17) and supports a suspension spring. The release rib (25) is integrally formed with the cylinder (17) and the spring seat (20). The release rib (25) links the outer peripheral part of the spring seat (20) and the cylinder (17). The release rib (25) is provided with a surface part (81) at the outer end thereof in the radial direction of the cylinder (17).
