Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shock-absorber for a roadway, and more particularly, to a roadway shock-absorber which can be installed at the center of a road, the side of the road, a road interchange, a road junction, an entrance to a tunnel or an underpass, a bridge pier or a pylon of a bridge to attenuate shocks and to protect the road, and roadside structures at crossroads or bridges in the event of a vehicular collision. The roadway shock-absorber according to the present invention absorbs shocks applied by a crashing vehicle, or reduces the speed of the vehicle and simultaneously prevents it from leaving the lane and crashing into oncoming traffic in the opposite direction, thus enabling the vehicle to return to its normal advancing direction.
