Abstract:
An energy absorption member (35a) is secured to an outer peripheral surface of an inner column (14a) while extending in a front-rear direction and entering inside a slit (43) of an outer column (13a). In the event of a secondary collision, a fastening lever (27a) is displaced forward together with the outer column (13a), whereby the energy absorption member (35a) produces a shock absorption load by being crushed by the fastening lever (27a) while being arrested by the fastening lever (27a) and the inner column (14a) in a top-bottom direction.
