Abstract:
The present invention provides a short message transmission method and device, and a system. The method comprises: receiving a short message sent by a first user equipment (UE) to a second UE; under the situation that the second UE is for an IMS user, sending the short message to an SMS-GW; and under the situation that the second UE is for a CS domain user, sending the short message to the second UE. By means of the scheme of the present invention, a short message center is just required to complete identifying and forwarding on a called user type, delivering, retrying and storing for an IMS user are still completed by an SMS-GW, a present network SMSC does not require to be greatly transformed, and only an identification function of the user type and a function of forwarding a short message to the SMS-GW require to be added therein, thereby being smaller in influence to operation of a present network, providing a feasible transition scheme for developing an IMS-bearing short message service, reducing implementation risks, and providing guarantee for successful transition to fusion message application in the future.
