Abstract:
A shovel (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a lower traveling body (1); an upper revolving body (3) revolvably mounted on the lower traveling body (1); an object detection device (70) provided in the upper revolving body (3); and a controller (30) that is a control device capable of automatically braking a hydraulic motor (2M) for traveling that is a driving unit of the shovel (100). The controller (30) brakes the hydraulic motor (2M) for traveling according to a predetermined braking pattern based on a distance (DA), detected by the object detection device (70), between the shovel (100) and a dump truck (DP).
