Description:
SHOWER CABIN

The subject matter of the invention is a shower cabin designed to be used for maintaining daily hygiene of the human body.

There are known shower cabins that have sets of nozzles placed vertically on the side wall of the cabin body and targeting the neck, back and lumbar part of the spine. In these cabins, the stream of water also has a fixed direction, which does not make it possible to fully use the beneficial effects of the water stream.

The classical shower cabin consists of a shower tub, on which the screens of the cabin are assembled. The water supply system is composed of the water connection, tap, water mixer and shower. On one of the screen walls, there is a fixed vertical set of nozzles spraying the water, so as to create the hydromassage.

The patent application PCT/EP 1999/010024 presents the device for spray bath and the method of application for spray bath of a whole body. The device has the bathing cabin, which allows at least one person to come in, as well as a nozzle for preparing the sprayed liquid. The device is equipped with the high-pressure chamber, where the liquid is compressed under high pressure, and nozzles for explosive discharge of the compressed liquid subject to high pressure, so that the liquid is diffused as small particles. The process makes the particles positively charged, which increases the photon emission.

The patent description US5321860 presents the shower device that has a body n the wall of which there are attached rotating nozzles, to which water pipes are connected. Attached to the body wall, there are oscillating parts connected to the spray nozzles, which force the oscillating movement of spray nozzles. The wall of the body is fixed to the device with hinges, which allow to open the casing of the body by turning the hinges away from the device wall. The body is fixed on the base and contains the first element regulating the oscillating movement around the first axis.

The patent description EP 0499Ϊ51 presents a shower device which has a rotating head equipped with many spray sieves that have different features of water spraying. The rotating head is fixed on the shaft powered by an engine placed in the internal niche, in the handle casing, next to the water pipe. After pressing the regulation button, the rotating head is twisted so that water can be supplied through a selected spraying sieve. The device also contains a movable element, which adjusts to the water pressure and ensures tightness between the head and the water pipe, at the same time eliminating any friction between them.

The Polish application for an invention with the number P-410549 presents a portable shower cabin equipped with a container that has the function of a shower tub, to which the lower wheel is releasably attached of the flexible shower pipe with spray nozzles and telescopic posts connected at their tops by means of a horizontal post to which the upper wheel of the spiral pipe is attached as well the shower lid, fixed with handles. On the lateral surface of the container, there is the water connection, and attached to one of the side walls of the container, there is a lid and rotating wheels.

The shower cabin pursuant to the invention, containing in its base the container with a function of a shower tub as well as screens and rails on which the screens move, has the bearing column attached to the container, inside which there is the movable spraying ring installed, with spray nozzles placed along its whole length. Furthermore, installed in the bearing column there is the panel for steering the operation of the shower, and in the upper part of the column there is the fixed guiding rail in the shape similar to the container, to which screens are attached in order to prevent water from splashing beyond the cabin.

Preferably, the spray nozzles constitute water spray nozzles.

Also preferably, the spray nozzles constitute washing means spray nozzles.

Also preferably, the movable spraying ring has drying slots.

Also preferably, the cabin has lighting.

Also preferably, the cabin has an arrangement for aromatherapy.

Also preferably, on the container, there are fixed rails on which the wheelchair may move, equipped with safety belts and a lift with a mechanical lever and an electrically powered. Additionally, the cabin is equipped with the remote control connected to the panel for steering the operation of the shower. The construction of the shower cabin according to the invention allows to change the washing technique from direct water spraying with shower handles and nozzles to the ring with spraying nozzles, which moves automatically in a constant motion along and around the human body. The application of the movable spraying ring enables touch-free washing, reduced the number of operations to be done while washing, which is an advantage, especially for the disabled. Moreover, a solid construction of the cabin guarantees the possibility to fix any safety handles and a seat inside the cabin, which is very important, especially when disabled people use the cabin. The automation of the washing operations exempts the user from managing the water flow and directing it with shower handles onto various body parts.

The subject matter of the invention shall be explained more precisely in the examples of execution on the drawing, where fig. 1 presents the view of the shower cabin in axonometric perspective, while fig. 2 presents the view of a variant of the shower cabin in axonometric perspective.

The shower cabin contains container 1 in the base, which has the function of a shower tub, to which there is the attached bearing column 2. inside the column 2 there is the movable shower ring 3 installed with spray nozzles 4 along its whole length, which spray water onto the user. In another embodiments the spray nozzles 4 may spray water and/or washing means. The spraying ring 3 has drying slots 16. In another embodiment the ring may have additional lighting and an arrangement for aromatherapy (not shown). The shower ring 3 moves from its topmost position downwards, reaching its bottom position and then back up, to the topmost position, at the same time spraying water onto the person who is washing. After the end of a complete cycle, the ring 3 stops in initial topmost position and is ready for subsequent washing programmes.

In the bearing column 2 there is the panel 5 installed steering the operation of the shower, containing all elements necessary for automatic washing process with the use of the movable spraying ring 3, such as: power and steering systems, washing programmes, regulation of water temperature.

Attached to the bearing column 2 in its upper part, there is the guiding rail 6 in the shape similar to the base, which holds in its upper part the screens 7 that are to prevent water from splashing beyond the cabin. The screens 7 on the bottom of the cabin slide along the rails 8 fixed to the container 1 near the entrance or exit from the cabin. In its variant for the disabled, the shower cabin contains container 1 in the base, which has the function of a shower tub, to which there is the attached bearing column 2. Inside the column 2 there is the movable shower ring 3 installed with spray nozzles 4 along its whole length, which spray water onto the user.

Attached to the bearing column 2 in its upper part, there is the guiding rail 6 in the shape similar to the base, which holds in its upper part the screens 7 that are to prevent water itom splashing beyond the cabin. The screens 7 on the bottom of the cabin slide along the rails 8 fixed to the container 1 near the entrance or exit from the cabin.

Inside the cabin, on container 1 there are fixed rails 9, along which slides the wheelchair 10 equipped with safety belts 11 and a lift 12 with a mechanical lever 13 and an electrically powered lever. Additionally, the cabin is equipped with the remote control 14 connected to the panel for steering 5 the operation of the shower and is used in the situation when the presence of a companion is necessary to handle the washing process for the disabled person.

After seating the disabled person on the wheelchair 10 and securing the user with belts 1 1 so as to prevent him/her from falling, you use the remote control 14 to launch the lift 12, which lifts the wheelchair 10 with the disabled person to such height that the footrest is above the edge of the container 1. Then, the wheelchair 10 slides along the rails 9 inside the cabin and the wheelchair 10 is lowered into the container 1. Afterwards, the screens 7 of the cabin are closed and the requested washing programme is launched.
