Abstract:
The present invention relates to a showerhead that ionizes tap water, and more particularly, to a showerhead having a built-in ionizer capable of generating ionized water, which is beneficial to the human body, by ionizing tap water, and selectively adjusting the flow rate of ionized water. The showerhead having an ionizer according to the present invention comprises: a showerhead body including a hose for supplying tap water connected to a bottom thereof, and a showerhead portion coupled at the top thereof and provided with a spray plate for spraying the supplied tap water; an ionizer including a pair of protective covers mounted within the showerhead body to define the exterior of the ionizer, a flow tube made of a non-ferrous metal installed within the protective covers and communicating with the hose to provide a passage for the flow of the tap water and generate ionized water, a plurality of permanent magnets installed in opposition around the flow tube, one end of each of which contacts the flow tube along a longitudinal direction of the flow tube so as to form a magnetic field within the flow tube, and a magnetic induction frame having a horizontal portion contacting the other ends of the permanent magnets, respectively, and a vertical portion bent to extend from either end of the horizontal portion so as to contact the outer periphery of the flow tube; and a flow adjuster including a mounting hole defined in an upper outer surface of the showerhead body, a scroll rotatably mounted in the mounting hole and having gear teeth formed on the outer periphery thereof, and a flow opening/closing part having a rotating round plate engaged with the gear teeth of the scroll so as to rotate, and a damper formed perpendicular to the rotating round plate, wherein the damper selectively opens and closes the inner passage of the showerhead body so as to adjust the flow rate of the ionized water generated by passing through the ionizer. The thus-configured showerhead having an ionizer ionizes tap water flowing through the showerhead and also sterilizes tap water, so as to provide good skin beautification effects. Also, by selectively adjusting the flow rate of ionized water, convenience of use is provided.
