Abstract:
One end of an urging member (31) in a focal plane shutter (1) is urged counterclockwise by engaging with an open lever (30) for driving a leading shutter blind (130), and counterclockwise rotation of the open lever (30) is controlled by an electromagnet (40). The other end of the urging member (31) is urged clockwise by engaging with a latchet member (32), and the clockwise rotation is controlled by the latchet member (32). A shutter blind speed regulating mechanism (2a) regulates the stop position of the latchet member (32) through engagement of a plurality of pawls (33a1, 33a2), having different lengths, with a ratchet tooth (32a), and can control the shutter blind speed of the focal plane shutter (1) by changing the state of engagement of the urging member (31) with the latchet member (32) to thereby regulate the urging force of the urging member (31).
