Abstract:
Provided is a shutter mechanism for a band-shaped workpiece treatment apparatus capable of instantaneously stopping the spraying of a gas on a band-shaped workpiece and lowering the temperature elevation rate or lowering the final temperature of the band-shaped workpiece in a short time. The shutter mechanism comprises: nozzles 4 for spraying hot air on a traveling metal strip 2; shutters 5 that can be disposed between the nozzles and the metal strip with a gap from the nozzles; and a movement device 7 for moving the shutters to a first position in which the shutters cut off the nozzles from the metal strip and a second position in which the shutters do not cut off the nozzles from the metal strip. The movement device moves rods 9, which engage with the shutters and are provided along the direction of travel, in the direction of travel.
