Abstract:
An anti-drumming member (19) is disposed in the inner space (13) between a side panel inner member (9) and a side panel outer member (14) which form a side panel (5) of the load carrying bed (3) of a vehicle (1). The anti-drumming member (19) has a long, rectangular plate shape formed so that the dimension thereof in the vertical direction is greater than the dimension thereof in the front-rear direction. The upper end (20) of the anti-drumming member (19) is joined to the outer upper edge (15) of the side panel outer member (14), and the lower end (21) of the anti-drumming member (19) is joined to the outer lower edge (17) of the side panel outer member (14). A reinforcement plate section (22), which extends in the vertical direction between the upper end (20) and the lower end (21), is provided in such a manner that, in substantially the entire range of the outer panel (16) of the side panel outer member (14) in the vertical direction, the reinforcement plate section (22) is located close to the inner surface (16a) of the outer panel (16) on the inside in the width direction of the vehicle, and the reinforcement plate section (22) is partially secured to the inner surface (16a).
