Abstract:
This side rail constitutes an oil control ring together with a space expander, the side rail including an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface having a vertically symmetrical shape in a cross section in an axial direction, a first side surface, and a second side surface, wherein the inner peripheral surface has an inner distal end which satisfies condition 1 below in the cross section in the axial direction. Condition 1: 0.7 ≤ R1 / h0 ≤ 1.1. In the expression, R1 represents the radius of curvature (unit: mm) of a curve constituting the inner distal end, and h0 represents the height (unit: mm) of the side rail.
