Abstract:
A side release buckle is provided with a plug (10), a socket (20), and a lock member (30) which is mounted to the socket (20). The plug (10) is provided with a base end (11) and latches (14) formed on a pair of legs (12). The socket (20) is provided with a body (21), catches (24), and a cutout (25). The lock member (30) is provided with a plate-like base (31) which is disposed on the front surface side of the socket (20), a holder (32) which causes the base (31) to be held at the socket (20), an operation section (33) which is connected to the base (31) and is displaced in the direction intersecting the base (31) by operation from the outside, and a lock section (34) which restricts the disengagement between the catches (24) and the latches (14). The lock section (34) is connected to the operation section (33) through a joint (35) which is disposed within the socket (20) and passes through the cutout (25). When the operation section (33) is not being operated from the outside, the lock section (34) is disposed in the path of movement of the latches (14), the path being that along which the latches (14) move when the latches (14) are released from the engagement with the catches (24). The lock section (34) is displaced to the outside of the movement path when the operation section (33) is displaced by operation from the outside.
