Abstract:
Disclosed are a side trimming device and a method for side trimming using the same, the device comprising: a cutting unit, installed on at least one side of a transferred steel plate, for trimming the side of the steel plate by mechanical cutting; and a laser processing unit, installed at the front of the cutting unit, for forming a groove in the portion of the steel plate to be cut or pre-heating the portion of the steel plate to be cut by irradiating a laser beam on the portion of the steel plate to be cut.
