Abstract:
A side-viewing optical adapter according to the present invention is provided with: a pair of eccentric lenses which each have a notch section in the outer peripheral surface, and which are disposed side by side such that the respective optical axes of the eccentric lenses are parallel to each other; a prism which is disposed further toward the leading end than the pair of eccentric lenses; and a holding member which has accommodation holes, and which holds the eccentric lenses, wherein the accommodation holes each have a notch receiving surface, the holding member is provided with a prism positioning surface that is formed at a position closer to the periphery than the notch receiving surfaces at the leading edges of the openings of the accommodation holes, and, when viewed from the direction of the optical axes, at least a part of the notched section in each of the eccentric lenses is disposed further outward in the width direction than the prism.
