Abstract:
When an analog signal is converted into digital data indicating the waveforms of each of two signals having mutually orthogonal phases into which the analog signal was divided, the analog signal is converted into digital data having more accurate values. A signal conversion device provided with a reception processing unit for performing reception processing, a generation unit for generating a cyclic signal, and a conversion processing unit for converting the reception signal obtained by reception processing by the reception processing unit on the basis of the cyclic signal generated by the generation unit into digital data indicating the waveforms of each of two signals having mutually orthogonal phases into which the reception signal was divided, the signal conversion device also being provided with: an input processing unit for inputting the cyclic signal generated by the generation unit to the reception processing unit; and a detection unit for detecting the phase difference between a processing signal obtained by reception processing the cyclic signal, and a cyclic signal generated by the generation unit that has not been inputted to the reception processing unit, and when the detection unit has detected the phase difference, the conversion processing unit converts the reception signal into digital data indicating the wave forms of each of the two separation signals according to the analog signal on which correction of the reception signal based on the phase difference has been performed.
