Abstract:
Provided is a technique with which the cycle of a PWM signal can be varied, and with which a minimum unit of ON time set in a PWM signal generating unit can be made effectively smaller than the actual minimum unit. A cycle setting unit (105) of a signal generating circuit (1) varies the value of a set cycle. A first determining unit (104) determines a first ON time ty1 based on a first duty ratio D1 obtained by correcting a ratio between a target ON time and a reference cycle using a correction value, and based on a set cycle value Ts. A second determining unit (107) determines a set candidate value close to the first ON time ty1 as a second ON time ty2. A generating unit (16) generates a PWM signal reflecting the set cycle value Ts and the second ON time ty2. A third determining unit (109) determines the correction value to be used next time by the first determining unit (104), on the basis of the target ON time ta, the reference cycle Tb, and the previous correction value, set cycle value Ts and second ON time ty2.
