Abstract:
The disclosed signal generating circuit has: four-phase-signal generating circuits (20_0, 20_1) that generate four-phase signals having a first frequency; an eight-phase-signal generating circuit (20_2) that divides the four-phase signals into half, generating eight-phase signals that have a second frequency that is half of the aforementioned first frequency; a first through fourth harmonic rejection mixer circuit (HRMix1-HRMix4) that, in different combinations, multiplies a first four-phase signal (I1) and a second four-phase signal (Q1) of the four-phase signals with first through third eight-phase signals (I2) and third through fifth eight-phase signals (Q2) of the eight-phase signals; a subtractor (22) that subtracts the output of the first and fourth harmonic rejection mixer circuits, generating a first output signal (LO2) having a third frequency that is the sum of the first frequency and the second frequency; and an adder (22) that adds the output of the second and third harmonic rejection mixer circuits, generating a second output signal (LOQ) having the third frequency having a phase that is π/2 different from that of the first output signal.
