Abstract:
Disclosed is a signal generation method, which can determine specific magnitude values of various level amplitudes of PAM signals distributed at non-equal intervals, while generating the PAM signals. The method comprises: a signal transmission end device transmitting a first PAM signal to a signal receiving end device, wherein the first PAM signal comprises N first level amplitudes, with N≥3; the signal transmission end device receiving a feedback parameter sent by the signal receiving end device, wherein the feedback parameter is determined by the signal receiving end device according to the first PAM signal; the signal transmission end device determining N target level amplitudes according to the feedback parameter, wherein intervals between every two adjacent target level amplitudes of the N target level amplitudes are different from one another; and the signal transmission end device generating, according to the N target level amplitudes, a second PAM signal needing to be sent to the signal receiving end device.
