The present disclosure relates to a signal processing device and an automotive augmented reality device having same. The signal processing device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a memory that stores map data; and a processor that creates a graphic overlay on the basis of camera data or map data from a camera or sensor data from a sensor device, wherein the processor: executes a plurality of virtualization machines on an executed hypervisor; creates a first graphic overlay by means of a first augmented reality engine executed on any one of the plurality of virtualization machines or a second graphic overlay having less data than the first graphic overlay by means of a second augmented reality engine executed on some of the plurality of virtualization machines; and outputs the second graphic overlay instead of the first graphic overlay in the event of an interruption of the first augmented reality engine. Accordingly, it is possible to stably provide an augmented reality-based overlay.
