Abstract:
The present technique relates to a signal-processing device and method, an image-capturing element, and an electronic apparatus with which it is possible to suppress increases in cost. This signal-processing device is provided with a measurement unit for conducting a plurality of cycles of measuring the length of a period from when signal input begins to when the signal value changes, holding the measured value obtained by the measurements, setting the initial value of measurement using any from among a plurality of held measured values, and performing measurement using the set initial value. The present technique can be applied, for example, to an electronic circuit such as a flip-flop circuit or an A/D conversion circuit, an image-capturing element such as a CMOS image sensor, and an electronic apparatus such as a digital still camera.
