Abstract:
This signal processing device comprises: a coefficient updating unit that approximates a characteristic relating to a light signal propagation path with a first tap coefficient vector having an L0 norm not greater than a prescribed value; a zeroing unit that generates a second tap coefficient vector by substituting a zero for a tap coefficient having an absolute value less than a threshold value, from among the tap coefficients of the first tap coefficient vector; and an adaptive filter that performs, on the basis of the second tap coefficient vector, adaptive equalization processing on a digital signal corresponding to the light signal received via the propagation path.
