Abstract:
To achieve a configuration that determines whether an object in a captured image is an actual object or a drawn object by analyzing the image captured by a monocular camera. An image captured by a vehicle-mounted monocular camera is analyzed to determine whether an object in the captured image is an actual object or a drawn object. An image signal analysis unit determines that an object in a captured image is a drawn object if a change of an FOE (infinite point) in the captured image per unit time is equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold value, if a change of a lane width detected from the captured image per unit time is equal to or larger than the predetermined threshold value, or if a difference between the grounding position of a vehicle or the like in the captured image and a ground-level position corresponding to the vehicle grounding position is equal to or larger than the predetermined threshold value.
