Abstract:
The present invention achieves a signal processing device (100) by which an analog pixel signal (Ag) obtained by photoelectric conversion in a CCD image sensor (1) can be processed to have an improved S/N with reduced noise by interpolation at a low luminosity or saturation area on a display screen, and to have an increased resolution by edge enhancement at a high luminosity or saturation area on the display screen. The signal processing device (100) which processes the analog pixel signal (Ag) from the CCD image sensor (1) by AD conversion, is provided with an interpolation unit (104) which adaptively switches an interpolation process to assess the luminosity or the saturation of each pixel, and to calculate a digital pixel signal of the pixel to be processed from pixel signals of surrounding pixels located around the pixel to be processed on the basis of the assessed luminosity or saturation of the pixel to be processed.
