Abstract:
In the present invention, a pulse wave is repeatedly transmitted into space; a first weather echo region is determined using, among weather parameters, the weather parameters for which the behavior of a weather echo and terrain echo differs on the basis of a reception signal for reflected pulse waves, a Doppler spectrum derived from the reception signal, and a post-terrain-echo-removal spectrum resulting from the removal of the terrain echo from the Doppler spectrum; a second weather echo region is determined using, among the weather parameters, the weather parameters having behavior that is not dependent on the Doppler velocity, or a weather echo region where the Doppler velocity is zero is determined using the weather parameters; and a weather echo region is determined from the first weather echo region and second weather echo region or from the first weather echo region and the weather echo region where the Doppler velocity is zero. In this way, a signal processing device and signal processing method are obtained that make it easy to reproduce a zero Doppler weather echo attenuated, that is, mistakenly suppressed, in terrain echo removal processing.
