Abstract:
A data processing device 12 is a signal processing device that comprises a processor and is for processing the output of photoelectron multiplier tubes 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d constituting a flow cytometer system 1. The processor is configured to: acquire intensity signals of photoelectron multiplier tubes 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d on the basis of signal light beams generated by a flow cytometry using the flow cytometer system 1; calculate, by dividing the respective digital values DN of the intensity signals by gains G of the photoelectron multiplier tubes 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d and quantum efficiencies QS of the signal light beams, the respective numbers of virtual photons S of the signal light beams entering the photoelectron multiplier tubes 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d; and execute data analysis on the basis of the respective numbers of virtual photons S of the signal light beams.
