Abstract:
In order to eliminate the need to remodel existing on-board safety devices and install a substantial amount of wayside equipment or the like when entering a signal safety system which performs exclusion control of trains using a safety telegram containing occupation range information on the route, this ground management device determines the section of the line on which a train is present on the basis of ground element passage information from the on-board wireless device mounted in the entering train, updates the occupation range information of the safety telegram upon receiving the safety telegram, specifies the section where the train can travel from the occupation range information of the safety telegram, and transmits train control information, with each ground element as a reference point, to the on-board wireless device mounted in the train. The on-board wireless device is configured so as to extract the train control information with each ground element as a reference point from among the train control information transmitted from the ground management device when passing the ground element, input the train control information to the on-board signal device mounted in a second train, and transmit the identification number of the ground element to the ground management device.
