Title:
SIGNAL SENSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ACTUATING SIGNAL SENSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/190974
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a signal sensing device capable of being actuated with low power consumption and capable of sensing irrespective of the frequency of the event, and a method for actuating the signal sensing device. The signal sensing device comprises a displacement detection means, a boosting means, a semiconductor switch, and a processing means. The displacement detection means has two electrodes facing each other in a state such that the distance between the two electrodes can be displaced, and a dielectric layer is formed on one electrode. One of the electrodes is grounded via a current-voltage conversion means, DC voltage is applied to the opposing electrode, and when a displacement change occurs between the two electrodes, the displacement detection means outputs the voltage change originating in the capacitance change between the electrodes as a signal. The processing means senses and processes the output signal outputted from the displacement detection means, the semiconductor switch senses the outputted voltage and channels electric current when the voltage is a certain value or greater, and the boosting means boosts the output signal to approximately the voltage of the certain value. Triggered by sensing the boosted output signal and channeling the electric current, the semiconductor switch activates the processing means, and the activated processing means begins processing.
