Abstract:
The disclosed invention has a payload region, which stores a client signal, and an overhead region, which stores position data that displays the storage position of the client signal; sets the position data of a frame which can be processed as an m byte cycle multi-frame (where m is an integer of two or greater) as an m × n byte cycle multi-frame (where n is an integer of two or greater); sets the storage position of the client signal in the payload region using the position data set as the aforementioned multi-frame; and stores the client signal in the payload region on the basis of the storage position of the set client signal.
