The present invention embodiment provides a signal transmission method and a device. The method includes: receiving a first signaling sent by a first device in accordance with a first network protocol, wherein, the first network protocol is the protocol supported by a network where the first device is located. The first signaling is converted to a second signaling in accordance with a second network protocol, wherein, the second network protocol is the protocol supported by a network where a second device is located, and the first network protocol is different from the second network protocol. Sending then the second signaling to the second device, the first device is one of either an user equipment or a program-controlled switch, and the second device is the other of either the user equipment or the program-controlled switch, the network where the user equipment is located supports the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), and the network where the program-controlled switch is located supports the V5 protocol. The present invention embodiment still can realize the communication among the entire network system even when the network transformation of the user equipment side and that of the program-controlled switch side are asynchronous.
