Abstract:
This invention is directed to achievement of connection interfaces of signals for which high speed and large capacity are required in connector connection. There are included a first connector apparatus and a second connector apparatus that can be coupled with the first connector apparatus. The first and second connector apparatuses are coupled together to form an electromagnetic field coupling unit, and a transport signal is converted to a radio signal, which is then transmitted via the electromagnetic field coupling unit. For example, the first connector apparatus is a receptacle (22), the second connector apparatus is a plug (42), and a radio transmission is performed via an electromagnetic field coupling unit (12). The first connector apparatus is a receptacle (84), the second connector apparatus is a plug (44), and a radio transmission is performed via an electromagnetic field coupling unit (14). The radio transmission utilizing the electromagnetic field coupling allows a signal connector connection to be achieved, with the result that high-frequency-related constraints of the shapes and placements of connector electrodes designed for the old generation interfaces are eliminated and the application of signal shaping techniques is not necessarily required.
