Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An apparatus for a user equipment (UE) comprises a transceiver configured to communicate with a base station (BS), and at least one processor operatively coupled to the transceiver, wherein the at least one processor is configured to transmit, to the BS, a CRI (channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource indicator) indicating CSI-RS resources, wherein if the number of antenna ports in each configured CSI-RS resource is one, the CRI is transmitted based on an offset value for the CRI and a period value for the CRI.
