Abstract:

Di-sec-butoxy-n-propylmethoxysilane which is a novel silane compound and can be prepared by reacting an n-propyltrihalosilane with secondary butanol and reacting the product thus obtained with methanol. This compound is highly active and is useful as a component of catalysts for the highly stereoregular polymerization of propylene or as a silane coupling agent.
