Abstract:
Provided are: a silane modified with a polymer containing a fluoropolyether group, the silane being capable of forming a water-and-oil-repellant layer having excellent slipperiness; a surface-treating agent comprising the silane; and a surface-treated article having a surface treated with the surface-treating agent (that is, an article having, in a surface thereof, a cured coating film formed from the surface-treating agent).
The silane modified with a polymer containing a fluoropolyether group is represented by the following formula (1).
(Rf is a mono- or divalent residue of a fluorooxyalkylene-group-containing polymer; Y is a di- to hexavalent hydrocarbon group optionally having a siloxane bond and/or a silylene group; R is a C1-4 alkyl group or a phenyl group; X is a hydroxy group or a hydrolyzable group; Q is a divalent organic group optionally having a siloxane bond and/or a silylene group; R' is a monovalent fluoroalkyl group, a monovalent residue of a fluorooxyalkylene-group-containing polymer, a C1-4 alkyl group, or a phenyl group; n is an integer of 1-3; m is an integer of 1-5; and α is 1 or 2.)
