Title:
SILICA GLASS MEMBER FOR HERMETIC SEALING OF ULTRAVIOLET SMD LED ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING QUARTS GLASS MEMBER FOR ULTRAVIOLET LED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/208855
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a silica glass member for hermetic sealing of an ultraviolet SMD LED element, the silica glass member being suitably used for hermetic sealing and a transmission window material of a surface mount package (SMD) in which an ultraviolet LED that radiates ultraviolet light having a wavelength range of 200-350 nm inclusive is mounted. A silica glass member for hermetic sealing comprises a silica glass substrate homogeneously and integrally formed with no boundary therein, the silica glass substrate has an inner first surface opposite to an SMD LED element and an outer second surface corresponding to the first surface, a substrate joining flat surface to be jointed to the container outer periphery joining flat surface is formed in an outer peripheral portion of the first surface, and a lens-shaped protruding portion for processing radiated light from the ultraviolet SMD LED element is formed on the outer second surface corresponding to the first surface.
