Abstract:
The present invention relates to silicon compound-coated metal particles comprising metal particles which, formed from at least one type of metal or metalloid element, are at least partially coated on the surface with a silicon compound, and are characterized in that the ratio of the Si-OH bonds included in the silicon compound-coated metal particles is controlled to 0.1-70%. With the present invention, it is possible to provide silicon compound-coated metal particles in which characteristics such as dispersion are controlled by controlling the ratio of the Si-OH bonds, or the ratio of Si-OH bonds / Si-O bonds, included in the silicon compound-coated metal particles. By controlling the ratio of the Si-OH bonds, or the ratio of Si-OH bonds / Si-O bonds, it is possible to easily design a composition which is more exactly tailored, than conventionally possible, to target characteristics and the diversifying uses of silicon compound-coated metal particles.
